This Heckler & Koch P2000 is chambered in 9×19 and is a Swiss marked example. The slide is engraved with a Swiss cross set within a radiating star and stamped G04-0012xx, and the same number appears on the barrel, on the factory test target and on the box label, so gun, target and box all belong together. The factory target from Heckler & Koch at Oberndorf/Neckar identifies it as PISTOLE P2000-V4 CH in 9MMX19 and records a group fired from rest at 25 meters. It comes with two magazines, the matching box, the target and Swiss issue paperwork in German, French and Italian dated 9 May 2014. Mechanical condition is excellent and the bore is mirror bright. The pistol shows signs of carry wear, with light finish wear along the slide edges.
Heckler & Koch introduced the P2000 late in 2001 for law enforcement and commercial use, chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, .40 S&W and .357 SIG, with a 93mm barrel and, in 9mm, magazines of ten or thirteen rounds. The slide is machined from a solid bar of nitro carburized steel and the pistol makes extensive use of impact resistant polymers to hold down weight and cost. The rear grip panel is removable and exchangeable so the grip can be set to one of four sizes, and a universal accessory rail is built into the dust cover ahead of the trigger guard. The V4 designation refers to the trigger: it uses Heckler & Koch’s Combat Defensive Action, also called the Law Enforcement Modification, a dual stage arrangement that always fires from a hammer down double action position while an internal mechanism is cocked with each cycle of the action, and the V4 is set to a mid range pull of 27.5 newtons, about 6.2 pounds.
