This Heckler & Koch VP9L is chambered in 9mm and is the long slide model, built on the five inch barrel. A Burris FastFire 3 red dot is fitted. Three magazines are included, two 20 round and one 10 round, along with the original box and paperwork. The round count is very low. There is handle wear on the back of the frame.
Heckler & Koch released the VP9 in June 2014, the VP standing for Volkspistole, and the pistol is striker fired and chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. The VP9L is the long slide version, built on a 127mm barrel with an o-ring bushing for more consistent lockup, an extended slide carrying lightening cuts, an overall length of 8.23 inches and a 7.2 inch sight radius, weighing about 27.16 ounces with an extended twenty round magazine. The optics ready version has a machined optics cut that takes the common red dot footprints by way of one of five mounting plates. Magazines have been offered in fifteen, seventeen and twenty round capacities, and the grip can be tailored through three backstraps and six side panels for twenty seven combinations. The frame carries a full size Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail and the slide releases are ambidextrous. The pistols are made at Heckler & Koch's Oberndorf factory in southwest Germany. The Burris FastFire 3 is a compact reflex sight offered with a three or eight MOA dot, running a CR1632 cell with an automatic eight hour shutoff that helps the battery last up to five years, with three manual brightness levels alongside an automatic setting that reacts to the environment, adjusting in one MOA clicks over 115 MOA of elevation.
