This Volquartsen Black Mamba-TF is chambered in .22 LR, model VF4H-0001, UPC 810162018504. It is built on a Ruger MK IV aluminum frame with Volquartsen's LLV competition upper on a six inch barrel. Two 10 round magazines are included, along with the original box and paperwork, and an Italian Negrini hard case comes with it. Condition is like new with a low round count.
Volquartsen Firearms of Carroll, Iowa builds rimfire rifles, pistols and parts in .22 rimfire, and the Black Mamba is one of their complete pistols. It is assembled on a Ruger MK IV frame and carries the LLV competition upper, named for Linda Lou Volquartsen, which sets a stainless steel barrel and stainless breech inside an aluminum shroud for match accuracy at low weight, with a universal red dot mount for the common optics. The pistol also takes a competition bolt with a DLC coating and Volquartsen's accurizing kit, giving a 2.25 pound trigger pull, and it is offered with three, four and a half or six inch barrels and in black anodized aluminum as well as a range of Cerakote and camouflage finishes. The Negrini case is Italian: the company was founded in 1981 at Quistello in Mantua by a competitive clay shooter who wanted better protection for his gun when flying, and his first design was made entirely of plastic with a patented assembly system, materials free of water and solvents, and an integrated handle. Negrini went on to supply the major Italian and foreign gun makers and became the leading European supplier of cases to the best known brands, trading now for more than forty years.
