Lot Notes

Swiss Model 1957 (M1957) bayonet with scabbard — the service bayonet for the Swiss Stgw 57 assault rifle and its civilian semi-automatic counterpart, the PE57 (SIG SG 510). Offered from a surplus lot, all examples of Waffenfabrik (Neuhausen / SIG) manufacture, in 1960s–1980s production and excellent condition. Priced at $49.99 for one complete blade-and-scabbard set

The M1957 is a genuinely high-quality piece of Swiss kit. These examples are all made by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen (SIG) — the renowned Swiss arms maker — and each blade is maker-marked and serial numbered. The bayonet features a stainless-steel, double-edged spear-point blade roughly 9.4″ (239 mm) long — about 14.6″ (370 mm) overall — with a stout 6.2 mm blade, a ribbed grip with riveted scales, and a muzzle-ring/catch for mounting. Built to the exacting standards Swiss military equipment is known for, the M1957 is a robust service bayonet rather than a mere parade piece.

At $49.99 for a complete set, these are an exceptional buy — desirable to collectors of Swiss militaria and Stgw 57/PE57 accessories, and equally at home as a high-quality, hard-use edged tool and field/utility knife. Each is Waffenfabrik-marked and comes complete with its scabbard.
