Lot Notes

This Waffenfabrik Bern Swiss Luger 06/29 pistol is chambered in .30 Luger, serial number 76135. This example is all numbers matching and includes an unnumbered Swiss-marked magazine. It retains over 90% of its original bluing and remains in excellent mechanical condition. The bore is mirror bright, giving the pistol strong mechanical and collector appeal. The left side of the receiver has a small M.E.G mark. With matching serialized parts, strong original finish remaining, a Swiss-marked magazine, and excellent bore condition, this Waffenfabrik Bern 06/29 Swiss Luger presents as a clean and desirable .30 Luger example.

The Pistole 06/29 was the final Luger pattern adopted for Swiss military service, produced by the federal arms factory Waffenfabrik Bern (W+F Bern). Switzerland was the first nation to adopt the Luger, fielding the Model 1900 in 7.65mm Parabellum, and the 06/29 continued that lineage as a simplified, cost-reduced refinement of the earlier Swiss 06/24. Built to the exacting standards Swiss small arms are known for, it retained the original .30 Luger chambering and the distinctive grip safety while adopting a flat front grip strap and other manufacturing economies. It remained the standard Swiss sidearm through the Second World War until the postwar adoption of the SIG P210 (Pistole 49), making surviving examples a cornerstone of any serious Luger or Swiss martial collection.

As a documented piece of Cold War and WWII-era surplus, this Swiss Luger carries the precision reputation that makes the type so collectible. Its matching numbers, Swiss-marked magazine, and high remaining finish make it well suited to the Luger specialist, the Swiss militaria collector, or the investor seeking an original, unmolested example. Manufactured well over fifty years ago, the pistol is Curio & Relic eligible and ships to your FFL or C&R holder.
