Nazi-marked FN Browning Hi Power semi-automatic pistol, serial number 172260, bearing “WaA140” Waffenamt acceptance stamps on both the slide and frame alongside German eagle/proof stamps. This all-matching example features fixed rear sights and a backstrap without a shoulder-stock slot. The bore is mirror bright with sharp rifling, and the pistol is mechanically excellent. It retains approximately 50–60% of its original blued finish. The original wood grips are intact with no cracks or chips. It comes with two magazines and a period leather holster(strap has a tear at the button hole).
Produced at Fabrique Nationale (FN) in occupied Belgium under German control, pistols of this type were adopted by the Wehrmacht as the Pistole 640(b) and chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum. The WaA140 acceptance code was applied to FN-produced Hi Powers from late 1941 until the plant’s liberation in 1944.
