BM-59SL

Rare BM-59SL rifle, serial number 2615454, converted from a WWII Springfield Armory M1 Garand receiver. The receiver heel remains marked “Springfield Armory M1 Garand,” and the rifle has a SIAU 1967-marked barrel with an HRA-marked trigger pack. The Italian-numbered bolt and trigger pack are matching to the receiver. The stock is not numbered. It remains in excellent mechanical condition with a mirror bore and retains over 98% of the blued finish applied during the BM-59SL modification process. This rifle is not import marked and includes one magazine.
The BM-59 series was Beretta’s postwar modernization of the M1 Garand system, adapted around the 7.62×51 NATO cartridge and detachable box magazine concept. The BM-59SL is especially desirable because it represents a scarce semi-automatic commercial/export-style variant built from converted M1 Garand components rather than a common standard Garand configuration. Collector references note that BM-59 variants and conversions often combine U.S. Garand receivers with Italian conversion work, marked barrels, and renumbered components.
