The CZ 527 Carbine is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.62×39, built on Česká zbrojovka's scaled-down Mauser action. This example is the 18.5-inch Carbine configuration, fitted with a checkered walnut stock and rubber recoil pad.
The 527 action uses controlled-round feed with a non-rotating claw extractor and fixed ejector, and is fitted with CZ's single-set trigger. Factory iron sights are present and unaltered, consisting of a fiber-optic front blade and an adjustable rear. The receiver carries factory dovetail bases with a Picatinny rail section installed for optics mounting. The bolt is marked 7,62×39 / 6,5GRE.
Three detachable box magazines are included: one fitted to the rifle and two spares. CZ discontinued the 527 series following the introduction of the 600 line.
