98 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm / 8×57 IS/JS)

Very rare SVW 45 marked K98k rifle, produced at Mauser Oberndorf in 1945 during the final phase of wartime K98k manufacture. This example is in excellent condition and remains mechanically excellent, with a mirror bore and strong rifling. It is a non-import-marked war trophy and shows eagle inspection stamps on small parts. The bolt, receiver, and magazine assembly are matching, and the rifle retains correct late-war SVW-marked parts along with the correct late-war cleaning rod.
The SVW 45 code is one of the notable end-of-war Mauser Oberndorf markings, replacing the earlier BYF code late in production. Collector references note that SVW 45 rifles fall into a complicated late-war and immediate occupation-era period, with some examples showing mixed late-war features, German inspection markings, and in certain cases French star proof or inspection markings. This rifle has a star stamp on the right side of the receiver, a blued finish, an unmarked stock, and the sight hood slot present, though the sight hood itself is missing. With its matching major numbered components, correct late-war parts, non-import-marked war trophy status, excellent mechanics, and mirror bore, this is a standout SVW 45 K98k for an advanced Mauser collector.
