1937 Tula-manufactured Mosin-Nagant M91/30 rifle chambered in 7.62×54R, bearing the Finnish “SA” property stamp indicating Finnish capture/service use. This is a non-refurbished example — a desirable trait among Mosin collectors, as the great majority of surviving M91/30s were arsenal-refurbished after the war. The bolt and receiver are matching. The rifle retains almost all of its blued finish. The bore is counterbored and darkened with even pitting, however, rifling remained strong though out.
The M91/30 was the standard Soviet infantry rifle of World War II, produced in enormous numbers at the Tula and Izhevsk arsenals. Rifles marked with the boxed “SA” (Suomen Armeija) stamp were taken into Finnish service, and Finnish-captured, non-refurbished Tula examples like this one carry added historical and collector interest over standard refurbished guns. This 1937-dated rifle presents as an honest, matching, non-refurb example retaining most of its original finish with a strong-rifled bore.
