The MOE AKM Hand Guard replaces the factory hand guard on stamped-receiver AK-47, AKM and AK-74 pattern rifles, including those with a front sling loop on the retaining cap. It adds an extended gripping area, reinforced heat-resistant polymer construction and an integrated black-oxide stainless steel heat shield, with M-LOK slots for lights, grips and rail sections.

- M-LOK Slots: At 3, 6 and 9 o’clock for direct-attach accessories or M-LOK Picatinny rail sections
- Extended Grip: Longer gripping portion than the MOE AK hand guard
- Heat Shield: Integrated black-oxide coated stainless steel
- Top Cover: Replacement polymer gas tube cover, compatible with the UltiMAK optics mount top cover
- Fitment: Uses the existing retaining cap with or without sling loop; accepts the factory cleaning rod; minor fitting may be required
- Not Compatible: Yugo pattern rifles, RPK style receivers or milled receivers
