This PTR 9LTR is chambered in 9mm and is set up in California compliant configuration, with a fixed non-collapsible stock, a grip fin and a 10 round magazine. The muzzle device is pinned and welded. The rifle is like new with a zero round count and is still coated in factory grease. The factory box was damaged, so it is offered as an open box item.
PTR Industries traces back to JLD Enterprises, founded in Connecticut in 1997 by Jose Luis Diaz, which purchased prints and tooling from Fábrica de Braço de Prata, an H&K licensed military factory in Portugal, and began building ban compliant PTR-91 rifles in 2002. PTR Industries acquired JLD’s assets in 2005 and moved the company to Aynor, South Carolina in 2014. PTR stands for Precision Target Rifle. The rifles use the roller delayed blowback action of the Heckler & Koch G3, in which rollers on the bolt lock into recesses in the barrel extension and hold it closed until chamber pressure drops. The 9LTR is the rifle length member of PTR’s 9mm line, built on a 12.5 inch nitride heat treated barrel with a three lug muzzle and half inch by 28 threading beneath a pinned and welded three and a half inch muzzle brake, giving a one in ten right hand twist. It carries a PTR HG5 mil spec anodized aluminum M-LOK handguard and a four and a half inch steel picatinny rail for optics, with a nitride treated carrier using tungsten dead blow weighting, finished in black powder coat over Parkerizing.
