Springfield Armory U.S. Rifle M1 Garand chambered in .30-06 Springfield, serial number 34009xx, placing production in approximately 1945. The rifle wears a Springfield Armory barrel dated 12-44 (December 1944) and retains its CMP tag dated 2020, marked “CMP RM1 Service Grade.” It appears unfired since being sold by the CMP—the original grease remains intact with no carbon residue. The rifle is in excellent mechanical condition with a mirror bore and sharp rifling, retains the majority of its parkerized finish, and comes with a GI sling.
The rifle is fitted with Springfield Armory components including a D28290-12-SA trigger housing, C46008-3-SA hammer, D35382-9-SA operating rod, and a D28287-12-SA bolt (S-04 heat lot). The stock displays a circle-P proof cartouche, the Springfield Armory “SA / GAW” final-inspection cartouche (George A. Woody, Springfield inspector circa 1943–1945), and a Springfield Armory logo, along with a “0 58” number marked on the top and side of the stock.
