The Magpul ASAP (Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point) mounts at the rear of the receiver on AR-15/M4 rifles and works with both mil-spec and commercial-spec carbine receiver extensions. It allows a range of motion greater than 180 degrees, so the rifle can be transitioned between left and right shoulders. It accepts snap hook style attachments through a durable welded link ring.
